About the role

The IT Support Intern provides technical support and maintains the organisation's computer networks. The role involves running routine updates of company systems and applications, researching and managing software tools that improve staff productivity, supporting testing and installation of software, and troubleshooting issues across the organisation. Interns also support setup and maintenance of software and hardware deployed at third-party locations for projects, stakeholders, and clients — giving practical exposure to real-world IT operations in a digital health context.

What you'll do

• Run routine updates and maintenance of company IT infrastructure, systems, and applications
• Research, install, and manage software tools that improve staff productivity, and document usage
• Manage users on Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, and administer office internet access
• Monitor company web services and servers, reporting downtime and other issues
• Support setup and troubleshooting of software and hardware for staff and third-party project locations

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field
• Sound knowledge of application troubleshooting and technical requirements of various software
• Strong knowledge of web server exploits and their solutions
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail, and able to prioritise under pressure
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
